My project focused on Quality education I.e SDG 4 and gender equality SDG 5
A webinar was organized, in the first part of the webinar we discussed about WAGGGS leadership models. A special focus was on quality education and gender equality, we were able to points out problems that women and young girls faced in the local communities. women are denied access to quality education and holding tangible positions in the society Participants stated some of the reasons which are religious and cultural believes. I held a meeting with the village head about why women and young girls should be educated and given positions in their local communities.
Second webinar During the webinar the 6 WAGGGS leadership models
Was put into use, women and young girls became confident in themselves and are ready to take up leadership roles in their communities, participants showed interest in going to school, note books and other writing materials were distributed to the participants.
This project helped me to practice my leadership skill
Delivering this project was much easier for me because I got support from my MO (member organization) and the village head who the women and girls listen to the most.
This project reached 102 young women and girls from the ages of 17-35.
Thank you WAGGGS
